THE POWER OF IMAGERY

As we continue with narrative writing let's not forget the power of imagery.  When we read a great novel or view a good movie our five senses can come into play.  Please view the You Tube video and carefully gaze at the photos below. What senses do they evoke (bring to mind)?  Share your thoughts with the class!

    1. Gulheim did it for me! What a scary place! Neil Gaiman's imagery brought blood skies to a whole new level. Never mind Miss Lupescu carrying Bod
      in a ripped bag......

    1. The setting of The Giver was hard for me to imagine. Once Lois Lowry revealed more detail about the community my imagination soared! By the end of the novel I pretty much was living next door to The Giver!

    1. So do I! I need to have plenty of description for a novel to capture my attention. A good mystery usually does the trick:)
